On this page, we take the opportunity to show images from recent workshops. Click the menu below or scroll down to view. The 2024 programme is now up and running. If you are feeling inspired, come back to the workshops menu to see which courses are available for booking. The coordinator will email members in advance of the booking facility going live, and non-members will have the opportunity to book any spare places shortly afterwards. There is also a reserves list so if the course is fully booked you can register your interest and if a place comes available you may be contacted. It is first come, first served.
January 2024 - Alison Butler - Batik on paper
The first workshop of the new year saw Alison Butler showing the group how to apply batik to paper. This workshop sold out very quickly but there is another chance to see Alison in action demonstrating the technique at the Herne Farm Leisure centre hall on 25th January 2024. November 2023 - Livvy Stainer - Oil Portrait
Livvy ran a fully subscribed workshop through the stages of creating a portrait in oils, working on her own self portrait to guide the group. See below for images from the day’s activities.

Keeping your studio flower paintings loose and fresh in oils and acrylics

Maria is a long standing PACS member who also organises and hosts the PACS sketchout days programme. She also did a demonstration of her oil painting technique for blossom at one of our recent evening meetings.
